Giorgio Caporaso

Giorgio Caporaso graduated in Architecture, with area of specialization in Industrial Design and Furnishing at the Polytechnic of Milan.

Alongside his  architecture studio he created a collection of furniture made out of 100% recycled alveolar cardboard. A collection which is modular and multifunctional as well as eco-conscious.

His designs have been published in various specialist journals catering for the architecture and design sector and some of his works have been displayed in important fairs, shows and sectorial exhibitions.

He received the Selection of Honour at the XVIII ‘Compasso d’Oro’ (Golden Compass) and the Mention of Honour at the XVI biennial BIO16 Ljubljana.

His design MORE was awarded first prize in the competition 100% Design Futures 2008 promoted by BEDG “Tomorrow’s design Philosophy: Match-Making Matching tradition with change, cultural heritage with global interface” (London, 2008).

The products More_Light, X2Chair and Tappo by "Giorgio Caporaso Ecodesign Collection" have been selected by the organizing committee to show an eco-sustainable line, inside the “Casa Sensoriale – Domotica”, a project of the Italy Pavilion at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice, located inside the impressive premises of Magazzini del Sale.
